Die ersten Tage in Toronto / The first days in Toronto

Wir haben's geschafft über den großen Teich!

Nach 8 Stunden Flug sind wir am Canada Day angekommen. Wir hatten einen mega tollen Empfang. Unsere Freunde haben uns am Flughafen abgeholt, dann gab es sogar Geburtstags-Cupcakes und später ging es an den Strand, wo es sogar noch ein Feuerwerk gab. / 

We made it over the large pond!

After 8 hours flight we arrived on the Canada Day, and were wonderfully received. Our friends picked us up on the airport, there were cupcakes, and later we enjoyed fireworks on the beach.

Am Donnerstag, 2.7. haben wir ein Barbecue auf Toronto Island gemacht. Mein Geburtstagsgeschenk - S'mores - mussten natürlich auch gleich getestet werden. Mensch, das war echt lecker. Und auf der Rückfahrt mit der Fähre hatten wir noch einen atemberaubenden Ausblick auf die Skyline von Toronto. /

On Thursday July 2 we had a barbecue on the Toronto Island. Anja's birthday gift - S'mores were tested right away. They were delicious! On the way back we got a marvellous view of the Toronto skyline.

Am Freitag waren wir auf dem Kensington Market unterwegs. Das ist ein Viertel voller hipper Shops mit allem Möglichen - von Räucherstäbchen bis Bong kann man alles kaufen./

On Friday we took a look at the Kensington Market. It's a neighbourhood full of hip shops with all the things possible for sale - from incense to bongs.

Am Samstag ging's mit dem Auto nach Kitchener auf einen Farmer's Market gefahren. Dort haben wir uns mit viel gesundem Obst und Gemüse eingedeckt und Abends lecker gekocht. /

On Saturday we took a drive to Kitchener and its Farmer's market. We bought a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and cooked a tasty dinner in the evening.
